When you are making a decision about what contractor to hire it is vital that you:
1) Verify their license
2) Ask for a certificate of workers compensation if they have employees
3) Ask for a certificate of general liability insurance-We recommend a contractor carry at least a two million dollar policy.
4) Ask to see a portfolio of their work.
5) Ask for references-and call their references.
If you use these steps there is less of a chance of being scammed.
